Job Description Summary

The Science Department at Cabrini University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Chemistry, commencing August 2018. Consideration will be given to candidates if their experience and major teaching interests include physical chemistry and general chemistry. Preference will be given to candidates who can develop elective(s) in computational chemistry for sophomore, junior, and senior chemistry majors. The ability to teach non-majors science courses in chemistry is also essential. Successful candidates must have a research agenda with a central role for undergraduates. Other responsibilities will include student advising, capstone project teaching and supervision, curriculum development, service to the department and University, and engagement in scholarly and professional activities. Ability to teach underprepared populations is a plus.

The Cabrini University Science Department is part of the School of Natural Sciences and Allied Health. It provides courses for undergraduate majors in chemistry and biology, a masters in biology, minors in chemistry and environmental science, and contributes to the general education curriculum of the University.
