• An active, unencumbered license as a registered nurse

Job Description Summary

Cabrini University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Associate Professor of Nursing, commencing July 2018. The successful candidate will play a leadership role in the development of a new Bachelor’s degree program in Nursing (anticipated to welcome its first cohort of students in Fall 2019). As department chair, the successful candidate will work closely with the School and University administration and faculty and with a team of consultants to:
• Develop and implement a four-year Nursing curriculum
• Design spaces for Nursing classrooms and clinical instruction space
• Oversee searches for full-time and adjunct Nursing instructors
• Develop local partnerships for the provision of student clinical placements
This will be a twelve month position. Salary will be competitive.

The Cabrini Nursing department will be a part of the School of Natural Sciences and Allied Health (NSAH). NSAH is the administrative home to the departments of Science, Mathematics, Computer and Information Sciences, and Health and Exercise Sciences. The creation of a Nursing program is part of a strategic expansion on the part of Cabrini University into the Allied Health disciplines. Nursing will join a group of recently-approved degree programs that include Health Science, Public Health, and Nutrition. It is envisioned that these programs will work together to provide students with a wide range of career options while simultaneously benefiting the regional community through student field work and outreach.
